Located in one of Birmingham’s most premier settings, Livano Liberty Park stands as the anchor development for The Bray, the newest town center within the Liberty Park masterplan.
The carefully planned Liberty Park development emphasizes preserved landscapes, a harmony with the natural environment, and a refined Southern mercantile aesthetic — all of which informed the vision for Livano Liberty Park.
From the outset, LIV Creative Group cast a vision to create the best expression of Liberty Park’s design ideals: a community rooted in classic Southern character while setting an elegant tone for the development that will rise around it.
Bringing this vision to life required collaboration with an outstanding team of partners: Nequette Architecture & Design (Architecture, Interiors), Dix.Hite + Partners (Landscape Architecture), Schoel Engineering (Civil Engineering), and Design South (Furniture, Artwork). Together, we developed a plan that balances scale, activates public spaces, and connects seamlessly with the broader community.
A central design priority was activation at the ground level. Amenity spaces — including Livano Workplace, Trapeze, and our first Livano Collection storefront — were strategically positioned to face the planned park across the street, creating strong visual and functional ties to this central green space. Pedestrian pathways extend through the site, reinforcing its role as a key circulation route within Liberty Park.
The site is anchored by two multifamily buildings, while the edges are softened with duplexes and manor houses that step down in scale to complement adjacent single-family residences. A multipurpose path links the community to the larger Liberty Park neighborhood, further integrating Livano Liberty Park into the masterplan.
This layered approach to design ensures that the project can be experienced at multiple scales. From a distance, the community reads as a refined, cohesive anchor to The Bray. Up close, thoughtful architectural details, pedestrian-friendly connections, and activated public spaces reveal themselves at every turn.
As the site and buildings neared completion, LIV Creative Group installed final touches like artwork commissioned from local artists, murals rooted in local character, and branded accents that make the project feel truly one of a kind. From vision to execution, LIV Creative Group worked closely with our partners to ensure that every element of Livano Liberty Park feels cohesive, considered, and meaningful.
